Little Learners
Our program for 3–4-year-olds nurtures growing independence, language, and social confidence through hands-on play, routine, and strong relationships.
Little Learners Program Overview
Ages 3–4
The Little Learners classroom is a place for growing independence, language, and emotional awareness — all through play. Three-year-olds are learning how to be part of a group, express their needs, and take on new challenges with support.

Our classroom offers a balance of structure and flexibility, with a predictable daily rhythm and plenty of time for child-led exploration. Teachers help children practice social skills, navigate big feelings, and build the confidence to try new things — all in a warm, connected environment.

Our Play-Based Approach
At Early Alpine, play-based learning for 3-year-olds means giving children time, space, and support to explore, express themselves, and build foundational skills through hands-on play.

Our days follow a consistent rhythm with lots of opportunities for open-ended play — alongside a few simple, teacher-led experiences like Circle Time, songs, stories, and art. Through play, children practice communication, begin to navigate social dynamics, and develop early problem-solving skills — all in a warm, supportive environment where teachers guide gently from alongside.

Choice & Exploration
During center time, children choose how to play — with dramatic play, blocks, sensory bins, art, and more. These choices support growing independence, imagination, and the ability to focus on what matters to them.

Guided Learning Moments
Teachers introduce early literacy, math, and social skills through songs, stories, simple group games, and shared experiences. Everything is hands-on, language-rich, and designed to meet children where they are.

Emotional Growth & Problem Solving
We help children begin to name emotions, navigate early social conflicts, and learn how to play alongside others. Teachers model calm responses, offer language for problem-solving, and build strong relationships that help kids feel safe and supported.
A Day in
Little Learners
Our 3s program runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the option to stay for extended care until 6:00 PM.

The day begins with open play, giving children time to settle in, explore materials, and connect with their teachers and classmates. After a snack, we spend time outside — running, climbing, digging, and playing together.

Late morning includes short, teacher-led experiences like Circle Time, art, and simple small group activities. We keep these moments light, interactive, and grounded in movement and language.

Lunch happens midday, followed by rest time and a quiet transition back into play. The afternoon brings more time for choice-based play, stories, music, and gentle wrap-up activities before pickup at 4:00.

Throughout the day, teachers offer comfort, encouragement, and gentle guidance — helping children build trust, try new things, and feel proud of themselves in a safe, supported environment.
