Preschool
Our preschool program for 4–6-year-olds nurtures confidence, curiosity, and connection through hands-on learning and joyful play.
Preschool Program Overview
Ages 4 - 6
Preschool at Early Alpine is centered on play, relationships, and growth. Children learn about the world and themselves through hands-on experiences and open-ended exploration.
Our days are carefully structured to create space for child-led learning, while offering the support and consistency kids need to feel confident and capable.
We support kids in building real confidence, learning to work through conflict, and trusting their own ideas — all within a dedicated preschool space designed to support deeper learning, movement, and connection.

Our Play-Based Approach
At Early Alpine, play-based learning means balancing child-led exploration with purposeful structure.
Our days follow a consistent rhythm, blending open-ended play with a few teacher-guided experiences — like Circle Time, small group STEAM activities, and read-alouds. Through play, children build academic skills, social-emotional growth, and confidence — all in a calm, connected environment where teachers act as guides

Choice & Exploration
During center time, children choose how to play — with blocks, dramatic play, art, sensory bins, and more. These choices help build independence, focus, and creativity.

Guided Learning Moments
Teachers introduce literacy, math, science, and social concepts through Circle Time, read-alouds, and small group activities — always hands-on and developmentally appropriate.

Emotional Growth & Problem Solving
We help kids name emotions, navigate conflict, and build problem-solving skills — all within the context of warm, trusting relationships. Teachers prioritize connection and co-regulation, creating a secure base that supports both emotional and academic growth.
A Day in Preschool
Our Pre-K day runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the option to stay for extended care until 6:00 PM.

The day starts with open play, giving children time to ease into the morning, make choices, and connect with friends. After a snack, we head outside to move, explore, and burn energy.
Late morning includes teacher-guided activities like art, STEAM, literacy, and small group work.
Lunch happens midday, followed by another chance to play outside before coming in for rest time.
Afternoons offer more time for projects, stories, and play before pickup at 4:00.

We keep the structure predictable, but the energy of the classroom comes from the kids themselves — full of movement, big ideas, problem-solving, and collaboration. Teachers are there to guide, support, and help kids grow more confident each day.
Now Enrolling for Fall 2025
We’re expanding! Starting Fall 2025, our Pre-K program will move into a dedicated preschool building designed just for our 4–6-year-olds — with more space, more materials, and room to explore.
This new space allows us to open additional spots while keeping the strong relationships, play-based learning, and calm, connected environment families have come to expect from Early Alpine
